Getting started
How do I get started?
Start by completing our 30-second pre-screen. It’s quick, easy, and helps us understand whether Kicko may be suitable for you.
A nurse will then review your application and may contact you if more information is needed.
Your application and relevant medical information are then reviewed by a doctor. If treatment is clinically appropriate, the doctor may prescribe a personalised treatment plan to support your quit-smoking journey.
If prescribed, you’ll be able to access and purchase medication through the Kicko online portal.
Am I eligible for treatments at Kicko?
Most adults struggling with nicotine dependence can apply. Eligibility for certain medical treatments may depend on your medical history and clinical assessment by one of our doctors.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No referral is needed. You can apply directly with Kicko and speak with our clinicians.
Pricing
How much do your consultations cost?
All Kicko consultations are free, including the nurse consultation, doctor review, and follow-ups. There are no upfront fees and no obligation to proceed unless treatment is approved and you choose to continue.
How much does the medication cost?
The cost of medication varies depending on the product prescribed. Kicko offers a wide range of options, from budget-friendly to premium products, to suit different needs and budgets.
Due to strict regulatory requirements, we’re unable to advertise or promote specific prices.
Are there any other costs?
No. Kicko has no hidden fees. All nurse consultations, doctor reviews, and follow-ups are free, and you only pay for medication and delivery if you choose to proceed.
Orders & Prescriptions
Can I get a prescription through Kicko?
Yes. If your clinician determines that a prescription therapy is right for your quit plan, they will provide it during your consultation.
How do I access my prescription?
You can log in to our patient portal to view your prescriptions.
How do I order my prescription?
After your consultation, if you’re prescribed medication, we’ll email you a secure link to review and purchase your order online.
It’s quick, easy, and your medication will be delivered discreetly to your door.
How do I check the status of my order?
You can view order details inside your Kicko account dashboard.
Insurance & Medicare
Is the consultation covered by Medicare?
No. Kicko consultations are not Medicare-rebated at this time.
Does health insurance cover these treatments?
Some private health insurers may cover part of the cost of prescribed nicotine vaping products. Coverage varies between insurers, and many Australian health funds do not currently include nicotine vaping under their policies.
We recommend checking directly with your insurer to confirm what is included in your level of cover.
Will Kicko help me with insurance paperwork?
Yes. We provide receipts and documentation after your consultation to support your claims.
Shipping & Dispensing
How much does shipping cost?
If you're ordering medication through our preferred pharmacies, express delivery is available from $14.95 for fast and secure shipping.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping times depend on your location and the pharmacy or supplier used. You’ll receive tracking information when available.
Do I need to be home for my delivery?
Due to the nature of your medication, our delivery partners are unable to leave your parcel unattended. A signature on delivery is required, otherwise the order will be taken to the nearest Australia Post Office to be collected at your convenience.
What if my order hasn’t arrived?
You can log in to your account to track your order at any time. If you need help, contact our support team with your order details and we’ll assist you.
