Your Consult Journey Explained

1. Quick Pre-Screen Eligibility Check

Before your consult, you’ll complete a 30-second online pre-screen questionnaire. This helps our team understand your smoking history, health background, and quit goals so we can tailor care safely from the start.

2. Book Your Nurse Consult - Your First Clinical Step

Once your eligibility is submitted:

  • Book with a qualified AHPRA-registered nurse here.
  • They’ll contact you if anything needs clarification
  • The call establishes your clinical background and priorities
  • It ensures your care is safe and personalised

This nurse step is free and designed to make your consult meaningful, streamlined, and focused.

During the call, the nurse may ask about:

  • Your smoking or nicotine history
How long you’ve been smoking, how much you smoke each day, and what products you currently use.

  • Previous quit attempts
What you’ve tried before, what worked, what didn’t, and what challenges you faced (such as cravings or withdrawal).

  • Your health background
Any existing medical conditions, medications you’re currently taking, or relevant health concerns that could affect treatment safety.

  • Your quit goals and preferences
Whether your goal is to quit completely or reduce gradually, and what kind of support you feel would work best for you.

  • Lifestyle factors
Daily routines, triggers for smoking, stress levels, and situations where cravings are strongest.

The nurse’s role is to listen, clarify, and support - not to judge or rush you. Everything discussed helps ensure your care is safe, appropriate, and personalised before moving to doctor review.

3. Doctor Assessment & Clinical Guidance

Your case is then carefully reviewed by a registered medical doctor.

During this step:

  • The doctor reviews your medical history and nurse assessment
  • They determine the most appropriate treatment approach using clinical guidelines
  • If suitable, they issue a personalised prescription or care plan

This review ensures your consult is medically sound, safe, and aligned with your quit goals.

What Happens After Your Consult

No Hidden Costs, No Pressure
